Saudi Arabia sells oil only for $$$. It accepts no other currency. So, in light of supporting the strength of the $$$, Saudi Arabia is doing much more than just producing free oil.
Nations that buy oil from Saudi Arabia have to pay in $$$ and to get $$$ Nations have to sell goods to USA. Pretty good deal for America which in turn protects the kings in Saudi Arabia.

The point is that if we anted to we could have had free oil for life, but we didnt do that. You always maintain that the war is about oil and the US wanting to control it. I have shown that to be false so dont try to make thing up or skirt theissue by bringing other points you think support your false claims.

I don't see your point. My point is very clear. America can control oil by having the governments it wants and needs in oil producing countries. Taking countries' oil without paying is not how Capitalism works. The same way slavery was abolished.

Tell me when was the last time America didnt pay for oil, and just so you know America gave the Saudi President his wealth and he is like best friends with Bush yet we still pay for their oil. So you have no point you just have hollow thoughts about the issue that are supported by no facts.

I don't think the movie has to do with Islam and the West, more of Democracy vs. Monarchy. The movie IS about the Battle of Thermopylae but is Miller's version from the comic. I personaly don't like the image that has been created about the ancient Persians though. I'm know I'm sensitive about the issue but what can I do, I am Persian. And I don't where in the F*** they got the idea for King Xerses. I could go on and and on but it is a movie.

Some stuff written on wikipedia:
However, an interview on National Public Radio in January, Frank Miller echoed much of what Leonidas says in the movie about the clash between West and East: "It seems to me quite obvious that our country and the entire Western world is up against an existential foe that knows exactly what it wants."
Miller said he had no problem judging American culture to be superior to Islamic extremism. "Let's finally talk about the enemy," he said. "Nobody seems to be talking about who we're up against, and the sixth-century barbarism they actually represent. These people saw people's heads off... . They do not behave by any cultural norms that are sensible to us." [2]
Depiction of Persians Greek critic Dimitris Danikas criticized the movie for showing Persians as "bloodthirsty, underdeveloped zombies," and went on to say, "They are stroking (sic) racist instincts in Europe and America."[60] The president of Iran's Art Affairs Advisory expressed strong condemnation over the movie which he said insults the Persian civilization.Shamqadri called the film's effort fruitless however, saying, "values in Iranian culture and the Islamic Revolution are too strongly seated to be damaged by such plans."[70]
Guess I was wrong, Miller did want it to be about Islam and the west.

Miller didn't make the movie. How about you post what Zack Snyder (you know, the director) said about it, I wouldn't want you to appear as biased, or anything.

Snyder didn't write the novel, Miller did. I must have missed what Snyder said, why don't you post it. SORRY, I guess when I want to defend my culture that qualifies as being bias.

The main question to ask is: Why show the movie now?

Zack Snyder's comments were in the exact same section, of the exact same article that you quoted. I know you saw them, but since you're biased you didn't post them, its cool though.
The two quotes you provided from Miller are taken completely out of context. Its entirely possible that he wasn't even talking about the movie, or the comic when he provided them.

I was about to see it and it got sold out. I've talked to people who'v seen the movie. I've seen plenty of previews on the movie. It depecits the persians are blood thirsty zombies just like Yazdani said. One dosen't need to watch the whole movie to see what it portrays.
