At LEAST two seniors who have never made All American yet, WILL place this year at 174 pounds.
Give me some suggestions for "If not then...."

You will have better luck next week with Hawk fans. Hopefully Manningham will still be out so Adrian Arrington can catch 7 touchdown passes against the SQWUAKS

Jensen-
You may have to re-think that sig bet. Official word just came in that Glenn will be wrestling 197 this year.

IllinoisFan- CP Schlatter v. Poeta, better average placing at Big 10's & NCAA's. Sigs for 2 weeks. Thinking out loud..... Poeta..... he was hyped as beating Tirapelle in practice but not getting the nod so forced up to 165. Nagle defeated Poeta in the semi's or quarters of the Big10's. We all know how Nagle did against the Top10 in the nation.... C.P. beat most of the Top10 in the nation including Tirapelle. BUT, Poeta is moving to a more natural weight? Still, I'm thinking JensenS might be the favorite in this sig bet.

Hell, I agree, thats why I made the bet. I had a similar bet with IllinoisFan for NCAA's last year, I believe it was Nagel v. Poeta and we washed since neither AA'd. Poeta is great, but he seems to be overhyped a little bit by some, at least in my opinion.

Still, I'm thinking JensenS might be the favorite in this sig bet. Let's see....C.P. went 17-11 his freshman year. Poeta went 27-7 his freshman year. C.P. went 35-7 his sophmore year. And yes Poeta is movig to a more natural weight. The guy walks around at about 163. He wasn't cutting anything to make 165. If you look at their results from last year they had pretty similar seasons. I am not going to go through each match, but here are some results.... Poeta 27-7 overall Missouri Open - 1st place Las Vagas Invite - 5th place Midland - 2nd place Big 10 - 3rd place NCAA - went 2-2 DNP (1 match from AA) Both guys Poeta lost to made AA Schlatter 35-7 overall Bison Open - 1st place UNO Open - 4th place Southern Scuffle - 2nd place Big 10 - 1st place NCAA - went 2-2 DNP (2 matches from AA) Neither guy C.P. lost to made AA You brought up Poeta's 4-2 loss to Nagle. I bring up Poeta's controversial 6-5 O.T. loss to Churella. I also bring up the fact that C.P went 2-2 on the year with Kevin Ward. C.P. split wins with Trent Paulson. Poeta split wins with Travis Paulson. All of Poeta's losses were by 2 points or less. Not Schlatter. Poeta also never lost to the same guy twice. Not Shclatter. I am just having fun making the comparison and I know it could go back and forth forever, so understand I am just having fun with the comparison. Obviously I think Poeta is going to do better, but I think it is a pretty even bet. We will get to find out though. Not only by how they do in the Big 10 and NCAA's but Minny goes to the Illini for a dual on Feb. 4th. (Which I will be in the front row for) The possibility is there for them to meet at least 3 times this season.
