They're own soldeirs admit to trespassing and Britain and Blair still say the sailors did nothing wrong. Could this be a plan by Britain to start war? Britain could have put their sailors near Iranian waters to force an escalation with Iran and start war. This is similar to Israel's strategy with Lebanon. news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070329/ap_on_re_mi_ea/british_seized_iran

When it comes to things like this, I would not trust British for a second. Britain is a slimy country that will do anything to cause mischief.
And British accent sucks!!!
Oh yeah, that British sailor woman is not married. She has a little kid. What is she doing in the Navy in one of the most dangerous waters in the world?

I hope the Brits take them to the cleaners. Act of kidnapping is absolutely disgusting, but not altogether unexpected from a government like the one in Iran.

They didn't kidnap them. The brits entered Iranian waters illegally. If Iran entered britian's waters, they wouldn't be given food and sheltered, but executed.

You are beyond full of it, there is no proof that they did anything save from a tape that was in all likelihood made under coercion.
The Iranian government is attempting to provoke a war to try and get their citizens to rally around them instead of overthrowing their sorry asses.

Are you serious? If there was no proof, you'd see Britain landing bombs on Iran right now. The only thing holding Britain back is proof. What more proof do you need? They entered the Iranian border. This isn't even disuputed right now. Iran had GPS devices from the seized British boats that showed they were in Iranian territory. The sailors themselves admitted to trespassing.

Coercion seems like a great technique at Guantanamo Bay.

Big and Satiev believe the Iraninan version of things
JensenS and I (and maybe others) believe Britain's version.
I'm sure they'll sort it out eventually.
BTW, I doubt that Britain would be "landing bombs on Iran" for something such as this.

I heard last night that Britain asked the Iranians to give the GPS reading from the point where their sailors were kidnapped, and the coordinates they gave put the Brits in Iraq waters. I don't have time to verify weather this is true or not, but if someone could check...

Unbeleivable. It dosen't surprise me that there's a "debate" about whether they were in Iranian waters or not. www.usatoday.com/news/world/2007-03-29-uk-iran_N.htm?csp=34In the video, the colonel also showed a small cubic shaped, silver GPS device belonging to the British and said the Iranians examined the device and that it clearly proved the British had violated Iranian waters several times before their detention. "After checking their GPS device it was clear they had violated Iranian waters before," said Col. Setareh. He points to the map behind him with five blue squares — allegedly places and points of British incursions into Iranian waters.

Isn't it funny that the Iranians have already changed their "position" on where the boat was after it didn't support their claims? That Iranian dude is probably lying. Iraq had Baghdade Bob, we'll call this guy Tehran Tyrone.

Iran should give the sailors back, they did nothing wrong and those Iranians are already in trouble for violating the latest nuclear agreement they made.

NPR had a report this morning that Iran's demands for the sailors' release has changed from England admitting that they were in Iranian waters to England promising to try to stay out of Iranian waters in the future.

satiev1, I usually don't even bother reading your posts. You make some of the stupidiest statement I have ever seen. Here is your latest. "They're own soldeirs admit to trespassing and Britain and Blair still say the sailors did nothing wrong." From the article you provided - The video came a day after Iran broadcast a longer video showing the Britons in captivity. That video included a segment showing Turney saying her team had "trespassed" in Iranian waters. You are obviously unaware of what a gun to your friend's head will entice you to say. Ol' Abby has a history of this type of tactics (1979). DOH!!!
