First set of InterMat rankings will come the first week of January after all the Holiday and Mega tournaments.
Why? Preseason rankings are a mess to compile, so instead of putting something out I wouldn't be confident in, we waited and a few things came up, but then the ideal situation was take everything we knew about the major tournaments, returning ranked kids, etc. and come out with a very solid first ranking.
Remember folks, we've got a few rankings that we juggle each week, as well as several stories written a week and duals to enter and travel to do, etc.

Yeah, it's a job, but at the same time, I'm not going to put out half-ass rankings just for the sake of getting them done.
Takes time to cross check, reference, re-reference, find results, scour emails. A bit more time-consuming than some thing -- it's also not the only thing my "job" consists of.
I take pride in the HS rankings, I don't want to put out a crappy product, and with some major HS tournaments coming up after Christmas, I'd have to sit around and spend more time doing them. I'm not about double the amount of work to do the same thing.
With my preliminary list, I think you'll all be satisfied come early January.
As far as "Big Bucks" goes ... I'm just trying to stay away from the Whammy. I didn't take the job for the money, that's for sure.

JB hands down. Billy, see my comments on the national forum on this, you apply Wow, MAW. You're blistering assualt on Bucksman doesn't seem like you. BTW, which of the weight classes on Intermat appears particularly accurate (and properly respectfull of the Kansas contingent) as we speak?

BTW, which of the weight classes on Intermat appears particularly accurate (and properly respectfull of the Kansas contingent) as we speak? Sir Steve, not an assault, just what I believe to be a statement of fact. Also see comment about how their ranking is judged, they openly admit that several tournaments are their top ranking criteria, this is wrong when many teams can't go to those tournaments. As to JB's rankings, kind of hard to do that seeing as how his rankings come out after the holidays. As to not being like me, you must have known me for only a short time, Old forum members will remember my ire and times when I blast away. Some might remember my old sig, "Am I serious or just starting to stir up controversy and discussion", or something like that. Of course on this one, I am serious.
