CNN reported Romney was speaking in front of Cuban Americans and said what was translated as: “Country or death we shall prevail”. Apparently that was the same phrase Fidel Castro has used frequently in his speeches. Cuban Americans got pissed.
To me that is an epitome of clueless ness of American politicians with regard to other cultures and countries.

Then I stand corrected, probably a poor choice of words.

It's pretty typical of politicians (and Americans in general) to underestimate the hatred that most ex-Cubans feel for Castro. Romney has already made a habit of flip-flopping, back-tracking, and sticking his foot in his mouth.
If I was giving odds on the Repub candidate: Giuliani 2:1 McCain 5:1 Romney 20:1

He's a human and he erred. Just like Clinton. I forgive them both.
