I hate to belabor the attrocities taking place over at the old joint (themat), but it's just ridiculous. People often wrote of facism, well that is facism of the oldest order--banning what you don't like to read. Thank you for the "underground" JensenS. Nice to see everyone...

Well put, JPV...
TheMat has always been weird about any post that attracts not-so-good attention to "one of their own." For instance, whenever I would post updates on Joe Williams' legal case in Iowa City, the threads would disappear rather quickly, with no explanation. Same with other USA Wrestlers who were accused of a crime or in other trouble. News is news, and these wrestlers represent our country. Shouldn't we have a right to know what's going on with them?

Joe Williams = can't talk about. Joe Warren = posts about his pot useage allowed. Bubba Jenkins = talks about him getting a BJ in the parking lot were let open to run rampant on the high school board. That's something I personally find unacceptable.

Bubba Jenkins = talks about him getting a BJ in the parking lot were let open to run rampant on the high school board. That's something I personally find unacceptable. I would agree. Another reason why TheMat forums need to have clearly written rules that are available to read... then, the moderators need to apply those rules consistently. It's esp unfair for a high school kid's rep to be ruined on a forum. Someone like Joe Williams, well, he's a big boy, he's been in the world awhile, and should know how to handle himself. Minors are another matter. Of course, rumormongering is unacceptable for anyone of any age... but the reports I was posting about Williams were in newspapers, legit stories, not wild speculation. Yet TheMat still eliminated them Mark

I didn't do anything like that at all, no vulgarity at all. They still eliiminated me. I agree that is pure fascism. It bothers me more now that usawrestling conducts themselves that way. It can't be good for our sport. If they are doing it in forums, then is it wrong to assume they conduct themselves the same in other areas?

What else can we expect from a site that once made John Roberts an ATHLETE OF THE WEEK!
Posting an article about him having connections to wrestling and giving an interview to USA wrestling is one thing but ATHLETE OF THE WEEK is too much.
What's next? Next time we kill an important terrorist in the Middle East Donald Rumsfeld will get ATHLETE OF THE WEEK?
