Coming late to the board, I am not sure what it is. I see Mike Furches was upset about getting smites?

Jeff, It is nothing more than a little added feature for the posters. If you enjoy a specific post or like the style or personality of a certain board member you Exalt them. If you have a problem with the opinion of a certain poster or don't care for a thread you just might Smite them to make yourself feel a little better and let that board member know that you were really miffed about something he or she posted. It's all in good fun! Don't take it too seriously.

Why would Furches get so upset then and not want to post here?
Here is his quote in the High School section.
"Will respond here but will likely be the last post since I just got home and frankly am pretty upset over someones either hate of me, or cruel joke regarding the wonderful 50+ smites while I have been gone."

Jeff, The story go's something like this. Mike was one of the originals on this board. He came out posting with renewed enthusiasm and was racking up posts like crazy. He was being Exalted like crazy. Mike was also getting his Son Nathan ready for Fargo. When Mike left for Fargo his Karma was plus 50 something? When he returned a week later his Karma was -40 or something? Somebody was messing with him and he went nuts. His son lost a controversial semi finals match in Freestyle and he was tired from the trip. It was a fiasco. Mike reacted very badly and left and we really miss him!

Isn't that the truth, remember the day that if someone had a disagreement they could talk about it. Now a days people just smite. I guess that is okay, but at least have the courage to say so. I like the name attachment to the smite feature if possible.

Yeah. I think it's a good feature and could be fun if attached to a specific post. What is ridiculous is people getting smited when they haven't even been posting. Hey, love the pic. But I think you should add name labels to each of the characters so we know who's who...
