Jake Rosholt and Daniel Cormier are helping Ortiz train for his fight with Chuck Ladell. This is straight out of the wrestling room, Ortiz contacted John Smith to see if he knew any wrestlers that could help him train on takedowns. Rosholt and Cormier will be with Ortiz for 3 weeks.

I would have given him Mo Lawal personally.

Why would he look to defend any takedowns from Chuck? Not in a million years will he look to shoot on Tito, and Ortiz would never ever think that he needs help defending that. The story is BS.

sorry, but you can't learn in 3 weeks, what Lidell learned in years of wrestling including some time at D1. Chuck will keep this one as a stand-up fight anyway. He's the superior puncher and boxer.

I'd place the odds at 7:1 in Lidell's favor.

It was not specified as defending or shooting, and this did come right out of the wrestling room at OSU believe it or not.

I thought they were training takedowns....not takedown defense. If Ortiz can take Lidell down it would be a huge advantage. Lidell's takedown defense is very good.

if Randy freaking Couture can't take liddell down, how in the fuck can a waaay inferior wrestler like Tito do it?
Get your heads out of the sand! Tito gets KO'd.

If you think about, Tito's best (and maybe only) chance for winning would be to take Chuck down.
It won't be easy, but it will be easier than exchanging punches on his feet.

that's anyone's best chance to beat him. But if Randy can't take him down, who can? Certainly not Tito 'i've never wrestled at nationals' Ortiz.
