The only good thing to come out of his rip off win against Matt Lytle is that Matt Hughes (or GSP) get to embarrass him and kick is cocky ass.

'rip off win'
I like Lytle, have competed against him, and was very much wanting him to win. However, as we are always told before the fight, it is scored on striking, grappling, and octagon control. With no one wininng the striking or grappling game, Serra's octagon control was the deciding factor. There was no other way you could have scored that fight.

Perhaps my dislike for Matt Serra fogged my judgment just a little.
Serra's "world class" jiu-jitsu was completely neutralized by an ex-boxer.
I would have liked to have seen Lytle open up a little more and throw more punches.

I agree, I think Lytle has only to look in the mirror on this one. I think another factor is that these two guys are both upper level, intelligent fighters who just spent six weeks training together, knowing exactly what the other is going to want to do. That often makes for a lack-luster looking fight.

I don't have a lot of props for Serra. I thought he was lucky to get past Shoney.
