A buddy of mine just told me Pride is going to have a no weight "open" event sometime soon. If true that should be interesting.

IMO, it's a dumb and antiquated concept. There's a reason why there are weight classes. The days of a skinny Royce Gracie sneaking up on big oafs with his guard moves are long, long gone. Now everybody can do subs and has experience defending BJJ. The big guys will squish the little guys like grapes if this really happens.

I loved the old ufc before weight guides, it was more like a legitimate fight then. I am actually looking forward to it if they do it.

Dosent' really matter cause everyone who fights there are atleast 220.

Wanderlei was like the lightest guy there and he weighed in at 220. All the small guys don't even compete in that.
