We all ran our asses of in HS and College, but do any of you still run today? How long, how often? Me, just started again and only do 3 miles 4x's a week(the treadmill at the Y has 6 TV's...it keeps my attention). I remember a day when I would run for fun, now it's hard as hell to get three miles under 30 minutes...in fact my local Y has programmed the machines to max out at 30 minutes(because their overcrowded). Damn, 10 minute miles are hard as hell!

Vowed to never run again after my last early morning running workout senior year of college, and I'm still going strong 3 years later.

Actually, I sorta lied. The ASU wrestling team runs Squaw Peak (a mountain in Phoenix, about a mile and half run/walk/hike/whatever) every Saturday, and one Friday I had went out to the bars with a current wrestler (not a starter and this was preseason), but he said that he couldn't really drink too much because they had to run Squaw Peak. I told him that was crap, and that I would do it if he would not hold back that night. He said no way and I gave him my word.
So we stayed out until about 3, I played drunken poker online til about 5, drove to the Peak, and ran/walked/crawled up the mountain at 5:30 in the morning. Needless to say all the wrestlers were beyond shocked to see me at the top when they arrived.

I dont know how anyone can say running is fun. I never could understand that. The only reason that I ran was to lose weight. Then I graduated from college and only ran to the break room for cookies. Now I work construction and only when the boss is on the job do I run(mainly to hide). I hate running. For those of you who still do it props to you!

I run a lot. I actually just signed up for my second marathon to be run in May. Running on the treadmill sucks, but if I don't run at least a few miles everyday I don't sleep. I can't wait for it to get warmer so I can start running in the Metroparks again, that I really enjoy...

At one point I was up to about 180. But I have since settled in at about 162. That seems to be a comfortable weight for me. I will probably go down a few pounds as I am training Reni for USGWA nationals at the end of the month, and Bodybar three weeks after that.

I predict you are breaking 3:00 for this year's Cleveland Marathon, Ken. It's only a question of how far under 3 hours you will be when you bring home the bacon.
2:56 is the early forecast. You break 2:50 and some rounds of suds, on me, at the Lakewood Winking Lizard will be a'waitin you.

Wow. Thanks for the vote of confidence Steve!! So you think I'm going to shed 41 minutes off my time from last year? That would be nice, but my goal is to finish in 3:10 (that's the qualifying time for Boston) Only 70 days away, I gotta pick up the pace....
