Ex-Oklahoma State coach gets probation for DUI

STILLWATER, Okla. -- Former Oklahoma State University volunteer assistant wrestling coach Pat Smith received five years probation as part of a plea bargain in his drunken driving case.
Smith, 35, of Stillwater, who pleaded guilty to the felony DUI charge in July, also was fined $200 on Friday and ordered to perform 50 hours of community service. It was his third drunken driving arrest in Payne County, according to jail records.
Smith, 35, is the younger brother of OSU wrestling coach John Smith. Pat Smith joined the team in 1995 and resigned May 1, three days after the DUI arrest.
