Last night they had some of the state final matches on tv. I was watching the White/Clark match and I have a question. Clark got an escape point and a stalling point in the 2nd I believe, or atleast the ref gave him one. White got an escape, and I think a stalling? point in the 3rd. Why did Clark get a stall call? He pushed the action the entire match. Maybe I missed something, but White did absolutely nothing.
Also the Cubberly match, he should have lost due to stalling. He was definately outwrestled.
Roddy/Kilgore was exciting.
Honeycutt is a machine.

It was one of those things where I don't think the ref was comfortable with Clark winning as a result of a second period stall call. It was a bit inconsistent, but Eds fans didn't go crazy over it as they have seen worse.
This match was a replay of their earlier match won also by White. In that one White shot exactly once but moved forward the entire match. Clark tried to counter that in this match by moving forward first. But what that got him was into clinches, which I thought was questionable tactics because of their size difference.
This was one of those matchup things. You wonder how Clark could get 4 TDs on a David Taylor in one match (and one or two in their first dual) but none on White in their last two matches (Clark beat White at the Ironman 4-0). Credit White.
RE: Roddy/Kilgore. Everyone thought Roddy would roll in this one, forgetting just exactly how good Kilgore is. Kilgore did wrestle post-season he just happened to do all folkstyle* where he went undefeated sweeping the NHSCA Junior Nationals (beating Superrob), Disney duals (pinning Roddy), and Super 32. I'm hoping that Kilgore can put the proper stamp on his HS career, as I see that he is now entered in Senior Nationals.
*I think the Disney events are folkstyle.
