Abbott has kind of made a habit of moving up weight in the middle of the year, he's a fantastic wrestler, but he doesn't wrestle very well when he's cutting a lot of weight.
As a freshman he was pulling a ton to make 103, and wound up finishing 3rd, beating the defending champ in that match. As a sophomore I think he started out at 119, but wound up moving up to 135 and was probably the favorite in a weight class that was absolutely brutal that year, but he broke his collar bone in his quarterfinal match at states and wound up having to default. Last year, I didn't keep track of him to closely, but he wound up winning states at 140 I think. This year, he started at 140 obviously, and has moved up over the course of the year to 152.
In terms of Abbott's missing offense I think thats a testament to just how good Meade is. He's so quick, and so athletic he's just brutally hard to score on.

Caesar Rodney won DI's this year for the fifth year in a row. They beat William Penn 41-24 in one semi, while St. Marks beat Sussex Central 33-32 in the other one St. Marks was down 32-18 with three matches to go, but had two guys major, and then Abbott pinned in the final match to tie it 32-32 then St. Marks won on criteria #6 most first points scored. Then CR beat St. Marks 44-12 in the final.
Hodgson Vo Tech won DII's. They beat Caravel 35-27 in one semi, Smyrna beat Indian River 36-28 in other one. Then Hodgson beat Smyrna 38-24 in the finals.

I remember when Caravel was just started. We played them in football their first year. I am sure they've surpassed us by now.
Whatever happend to Jordan Sianni? He was at Pitt and doing well. Did he transfer someplace or just drop wrestling?

I've heard all kinds of rumors (many of which aren't particularly flattering) about what happened to Sianni up at Pitt. I think he's at Del-State now.
