With the high school national championship on the line. The winner gets to hang the banner.
Everybody has installed Blair as the favorite with the revelation that Eric Medina has certified at 145 which creates a match up at 152 where Blair is a slight favorite (instead of overwhelming) but eliminates a sure win for Eds at 145.
Blair could win 5 to 10 matches. Eds from 4 to 9.
Eds BIG favs:103 (Clark over Buxton), 125 (Palmer over Stanzione), 160 (Nemec over Lorant), 189 (Honeycutt over Fleihr). Blair BIG favs: 130 (Russel over Birt),135 Shanaman over Gasber),140 (Mason over Harris), 145(Medina over Gonsor), 215 (Platt over Rios)
Eds slight fav: 171 (Roddy, Peltier), 275 (Kuhar, Hansen) Blair slight fav: 112 (Villalonga, Sulzer), 119(Frey Cobos), 152 (Hogue, Elliot).
The above isn't really MY opinion, but more represents a consensus that I am merely reporting.
6:30 Saturday. Should be a barnburner.

Damn, this match makes me wish I still lived in Western PA, I'd make the trip.
Not a lot of similar matchups in Northern California...
Do they televise these types of matches? I know that they are usually available on various websites after the fact, but are you able to watch them live in your area?

Yep. That was at Blair, also. Eds did something called the Easton duals (not the same thing as the NHSCA event) that same weekend. Beat Easton which was the last time Eds faced them. Word is that Easton may (stress MAY) be interested in coming to the next Ironman. How great would that be?
