Just team, as you know we have several top 10 individuals. Yohn, LeValley, Graff & Lane off the top of my head.

Yeah, I saw that...Apple Valley went out and got a little respect at The Clash topping #7 and #8 teams from Carl Sandburg and Glenbard North. They lost to #6 Montini 33-32.
What was funny is that just two days prior to that tournament they lost a dual meet to Wayzata, MN which is not traditionally a wrestling powerhouse in Minnesota. I don't have the scoop on that as yet but I am assuming they had some kids on vacation and/or ill or they sent a B-Team there to save there kids for the tournament.
Looks like my guy Destin McCauley (7th grade defending state champ @ 103) is at #13 in the country as an 8th grader at 112 this year. That is pretty amazing. We will see what kind of highschool he has over the next few years but I am saying that he ends up with at least three state titles and as many as six and could also end up with as many team titles...
I do not want to say that Apple Valley recruits there wrestlers but they have as many outstate kids on their roster as the University of Minnesota does...

When I suggested that Apple Valley should move up to 12 after their Clash showing, both Jason and Bucksman slapped me down.

They managed to snag a "Trusty Trained" Lehmann from ND. He'll end up with a few state titles for AV.

McCauley is an outstater...Charlie Falck was an outstater...the list goes on...these wrestlers just show up on their doorsteps...its funny because you wonder what the parents do for a living that they could just pick up and leave their jobs to bring their kids to AV...i am sure construction, insurance, finance or teaching would be high up on the lists...

Wait, when did I slap anyone down about Apple Valley?
I'm not putting out a team ranking until after the Virginia Duals...

After LkwdSteve suggests that AV has earned a top 12 ranking, JB admonishes the uninformed LkwdSteve with:
"lost in a dual to Wayzata last week. Can't forget matches like that."
A chastened LkwdSteve tucks tail and departs, while rubbing his sensitive features still smarting from the backhand. "Why oh why did I forget a match like that?" he asks himself.
"Because you are not a ranking expert, you dope" he answers himself.
The End.

if you look you will find that that apple valley did not bring all of its starters to that match against wayzata...just something to keep in mind...

I hardly think that was "admonishing" -- merely pointing out that some of these major events do carry more "weight" in some cases (at least in the rankings realm).
I'll look at that Wayzata dual as a reason to move Wayzata up, but one great weekend (and it was a great weekend for AV) can't totally dismiss losses to programs that are "viewed" as lesser.
Wayzata's good this year, AV is doing very well from a team that lost 9 starters.
Merely pointing out AV's loss that no one mentioned, rather than admonishing anyone.... I'm pretty happy-go-lucky about everything.

"I'm pretty happy-go-lucky about everything."
As am I, Doctor Dart.
I was attempting some humor but I'm not sure of the method. So I googled "literary devices for humor" and I think I discovered that I was using HYPERBOLE, which one website identified as "extravagent exaggeration". It's not a strong point for me so I can't be sure.
I'll keep working at it.
