Jordan controlled the match in Neutral scoring the only 2 takedowns. Triggas scored his 7 points off 2 escapes, 1 stall call, 1 penalty point, and tilting Oliver for 3 backs. If this is indeed the correct scoring for the bout, then it looks like Triggas did not score offensively from the neutral position, indicating that it wasn't his ability to successfully score off a russian tie that won him the match. Maybe it prevented Oliver from scoring more offensive points, but if Triggas didn't score any takedowns from neutral, it's not as if he used the positioning on the russian to push the arm up and hit a double leg takedown. That being said, I am just going off what Troll said about the scoring. I would have to see a video of the match in its entirety to judge whether this is something that might have cost Oliver the match. As a photographer, I can tell you from experience that often the photos I take are deceptive of the outcome of the match. Especially if I am shooting a Harvard dual meet, then I will only take photos when a Crimson wrestler looks like he is in control (even if he is getting his ass kicked, I have made it look like he was dominating the match). So still photos aren't necessarily the best way to analyze a match. Unless maybe a wrestler was pinned and it wasn't called, and the camera shows the pin....

It's a HUGE leapNo it's not. After watching the first 100,000 matches, or seeing the first 10,000 pictures, and so forth, you kind of get a feel for this sort of thing. At the higher levels little slips show trends. It is the same sort of thing as watching a 3-1 match, and when it is over saying to somebody..... "the score was close but the match wasn't". I bet you don't understand that concept either. I guess you'd have to be the obcessed person like me..... who watches everything from pee-wee's/rookies, to Veterans, women or men, in every single style, like each and every style, and match, watching it closely, and am also that one fan, who goes to a local out of town local HS meet, without having a single person affiliated with either team, just because I like the sport..... to understand where I am coming from.... I guess. You know those "you know your a wrestler (or wrestling fan)" lists that go around? I actually fit about 90% of the criteria. I actually have counted the numbers of items, and figured out how many fit me, to come up with the 90%. A week from this Saturday I am going to coach and attend a national level kids meet, follow it up with a solid local HS tourney, and will probably wake-up the next day and drive 3 hours one way to get my kid to yet another meet. Where I will not only coach her, but watch two mats at a time, when she isn't wrestling, and probably pick up an "orphan or two" to coach. This after I go to a 2-day tournament tommorrow, work out with the team New Years day, go to another practice, a multi on Wednesday, and two more days of practice. Hey, I can't help it if you cannot think outside of the box and are a prisoner to you preconceived notions. You are really embarrassing yourself here. I'm a prisoner, huh. I appreciate your devotion to the sport and to the athletes you coach, but you are dead wrong in this case. Not even close to having a point, as the pics and thoughts posted by other posters solidly illustrate. but of course, you seen more pictures and are smarter than all of us, so we are all wrong

Did you seriously just look at one picture and say you could tell the kids state of mind from looking at it.?
Wow, you are my hero
