Say Safratowich did not step in at 165 and Minnesota did not qualify anyone, How many points would Minnesota lose that Safratowich earned by wrestling at NCAAs?

They'd have only lost 3.5 points. Saf scored one point with his first round upset over Anceravage, and then 2.5 points when he pinned Decker in the consi's.

Wow, I did not realize his victories were so cheap.

But it's hard to quantify heart, and Saf's is huge. He wrestled guys a lot bigger than he was, and had several come-from-behind upset victories this year that got the Gophers & fans rockin'. He was inspirational for this year's team, and that makes everybody in maroon & gold a little tougher.
