I don't subscribe to Sports Illustrated...
... so I was wondering how much -- if any -- coverage there was of the 2007 NCAAs. (I assume that Baskren isn't on the cover; I'm sure I would've heard about that.) Was there a wrap-up article? Or just a photo? Or nothing at all?
Thanks Mark
PS April 1 will be the 50th anniversary of the last time an amateur wrestler appeared on the actual cover of SI as an amateur wrestler: Dan Hodge of the Oklahoma Sooners, after winning his third and final title. (Back then, freshmen could not compete at the NCAAs.)

There was one picture of Askren turning the guy from N. Illinois with some funk, but no article about the championships. Very disappointing, isnce they have devoted a page to it the last few years and had the nice article on Iowa wrestling a few weeks ago. I guess they figured college wrestling used up its quota of ink for the season.

Thanks for letting me know, odh. Did SI like the book?

The review was failry positive. I think they liked the way it captured the spirit and dedication of the wrestlers. The one criticism I remember was that the book tried to build up drama about Borschel & LeClere winning their fourth was there really was not the much doubt that they were going to win.
