Did anyone else watch the Frey-Ruggirello match during the second session at NCAAs when the ref blacked out? I was sitting matside with the Hofstra SID taking photos and all of a sudden, we looked over and the ref is laying on the blacked out. We were trying to figure out what happened, but now it looks like he got kicked in the head when Frey was taking Ruggirellio over in a cradle.

Color me disappointed. I had been hoping that it was Ambrose, or Ramirez that got it.

You are right DH, the ref did get kicked in the head. Myself and the guys I was sitting with saw it and knew the ref was hurt right away.

I know safety comes first and everything, but I was thinking about what would have happened if Ruggirello had ended up winning the match at the end. They stopped the match when the ref went out, which was when Frey had Ruggerillo in a cradle and could have pinned him. Also, what if Cornell had needed the fall for team points? I guess there is no protocol in the rule books for what to do when the ref blacks out!

You would see Frey hit all-you-can-eat buffet a few hours earlier.

although at times i find it interesting because it seems like ambrose has always just been kicked in the head and yet he is still able to walk around blacked out on his feet...

The assistant referee jumped right in and was watching for the pin. He was Johnny on the spot to say the least.

Color me disappointed. I had been hoping that it was Ambrose, or Ramirez that got it. I really don't see what is wrong with Ramirez.
