....thanks so much for the Irish bar advice! My father and his buddy, my college roomate and I went to Gus O'Connor's on Thursday between sessions....ate and drank way too much and barely made it back to the night session, although I remember we were laughing too much and had to apologize to all those around us for smelling like whiskey, beer and cigars. This pre-2nd session performance led to the old guys over ruling me and driving straight back to the motel(35 minutes away) and missing the Post gathering. We went back on Friday between sessions and after the semi's(are you sensing a pattern?) for our first St. Pattys day drink after midnight. We completed our tour between sessions on Saturday and closed it down after the finals (when we find a bartenders and waitresses who will tolerate our presence, we tend to go back...) Once again, we appreciate the recommendation and contributed many hundreds of dollars to the Rochester economy, although the 9 hour ride back to eastern PA was quite painful. By the way, great showing by the Wolverines after a difficult year. See you at the next NCAA's (the bar in St. Louis is McGuirks!!!)

Don't mention it. Glad you all had a good time.
We arrived late at the the Thursday night thing after wrapping up the night session to find that a certain someone lost patience and told Post management it was canceled, so some of the posters left before the rest of us arrived. Still had a fun time with the crew that went over (all great people and consummate professionals BTW). homer endured some good-natured ribbing about Mesyn. brendand and some of the UM faithful and a few others were there as well, so we were able to make a night of it.
I think nearly all of the UM fans I talked to after were pretty satisfied with the performance considering only 5 went, and are hopeful for the prospect for improvement next year. Roy was totally nails in the stacked 197 class, well-deserved and a great way to go out.

I was sad to see the poster meeting cancelled as well, but it was good hanging out with the guys who were there (Old Shamrock, exfatty, brendand, grips, Dartshark, fanforlife, probably forgetting some). The ribbing was all in good fun and was definitely fine by me. If it was just a year after I might not have taken it so well, but it seems so long ago now. Either way, I look forward to future NCAA tourneys with the poster crew. I prematurely nominate OldShamrock as the organizer next year...

Finally got a bar seat right in front of the across from the register at 11:30, great view to watch Christy (in the green/black stockings) ring up the customers. Don't remember talking to a Cornel fan(would have discussed Rob Koll, as my friend wrestled with his brother Dave and his Dad was at our house in Bethlehem when Rob was born). My Dad and his buddy were holding court with 3 local couples in the next room(w/ PSU Wrestling hats on). Any thought processes were suspended by doses of Red Breast(Jameson's high-end) and Smithwick's. Sorry, maybe next time?

I was in the bar until it shut down Saturday night. There were some people that liked my shirt and we started talking to them, I guess it wasn't your group.
