Also do you think that Parents are really doing a better job now as opposed to what your parents did. I know I am. I am also. Well that settles it, as long as you guys are doing better then the majority of parents must be doing better.LOL I know what you are saying and without actualy seeing you parent I would never dispute that but its not about you. Its about a majority and a lot of teen parents not doing a good job. Like stripping and smoking pot with their kids and friends.

Ugly -
Nobody is suggesting these aren't issues, but you must be getting old, and have become one of those people who say, "in the old days". I bet you used to walk 10 miles to school, in waist deep snow, up hill both ways too. ;-)

Scott, I am 27 and I long for the old days. Not they didnt have problems but because everything was simple and people seem to have had a good head on their shoulders. I shouldnt say its all the parents fault because I know plenty of good Parents whos kids are just dumb. But as parents we set the standard for our kids and I believe that the standards are lowering.
As a matter of fact Scott I did walk 10 miles up hill both ways in waist deep snow and I lived in Mesa, thats how tough I had it.

Very disturbing, but not evidence of a general trend.

The inner cities are becoming wastelands, with entire generations of illiterate and criminal-minded children. No father figures, no accountability, no hope, just violence. Gangs become the surrogate family.
On a personal level, I want to be a better parent than my parents were, although I had great parents. I don't think that's happening in the inner cities, and I don't know how in the hell the downward spiral will ever stop.

I thought I recently heard on the news that teen pregnancy is at an all time low in America?
Anyone confirm this?
