Now that Askren is gone who is the best of the remaining?
Anyone have a pick besides Herbert?

Most likely D Schlatter or perhaps Metcalf if he comes on strong.

Much as I want to say Dustin, I imagine I'd have to go with Herbert too.

Yeah Herbert because anybody at 149 is gonna get PWN3D by the big four next year.

Great question odh.
I'm going with Metcalf. I think he wins whatever weight class he wrestles at next year, unless Schlatter wrestles more aggressively. Metcalf and Gillespie might knock DS out of the top two slots in the rankings at 49 next year.

I thought he said besides Herbert I thought he just asked the question in general, and was interested if anyone had a pick besides Herbert who is probably the obvious assuming he doesn't Olympic shirt next year.

Next to Herbert, it could be Perry, although he most likely won't dominate as much.

I know fan is going to kill for me for this, but Dustin never loses to Gillespie again.

Grips speaks the truth. I think fan is probably ok with that, GG got his title, which it looked like was gonna be nearly impossible after how DS crushed everyone last year.

Grips your right on one thing I may kill you for that ;D
Either way if they are both at the same weight for the next two years, GG and DS are going to go back and forth when they wrestle, that I can see.
But they both still have the opportunity to red shirt... so that is another possibility. It could stagger things a bit if it does happen.
Of course you guys know I was super excited to see GG get his title, he wrestled very well last weekend.

Yes, you were very excited. I think Dartshark put it best...well, I can't say what he said on here, but I think you remember. Yeah, the redshirt would make things interesting. And I think they will go back and forth. Next time they wrestle, DS will win

Quite frankly, Keith Gavin, Pittsburgh 174, may turn out to be an absolute terror on the mat next year.

I thought he said besides Herbert That's OK. I'm fine with people agreeing with me. DS needs more offense to be considered. Metcalf will have prove himself for a whole season. Herbert looked so much better than his competition in the Big Ten and NCAA finals.
