I have been checking that forum from time to time, but since he has decided to restart his spam campaign I think I'll boycott. Believe me folks- you aren't missing anything if you don't check it out. If you do go there bring your knee pads to bow to the great Bob Preusse. He is worshipped there.

I do have one question for all of you, though. We demonize Billy for being so shamelessly self promoting, and rightly so, but we don't seem to have a problem with the guy from FloWrestling acting basically the same way. What's the difference? Yeah, Billy is obnoxious but that doesn't make it any different from what FloWrestling does.

I concur with Jensen. Flowrestling has created a whole new dimension to wrestling coverage. You wouldn't regret visiting flowwrestling and would be grateful that they provide the excellent service that they do for free. At billyt's site you get board "experts" Bob Preusse and Billyt evaluating the nations' talent. They did have Dartshark contributing until they insulted him(worst move they've made). Billy must be hurting to crawl out of his hole and restart the promotional campaign for his site. It was absolutely brutal when he launched that site.

I know that I've gotten hit for mentioning my articles at Rev, or promoting my amateur wrestling Yahoo groups, even by mentioning Peace. There are times when I've considered quitting this forum for that reason.
I don't understand why folks in the wrestling community are so negative towards those who promote the sport. TheMat forum members would go after Ken Chertow for promoting his camps. I don't get it. If you're plugging something totally inappropriate or off-topic, yeah, go after the offender. But someone who seems to have something legit for the sport?

Once again, it all comes back to content. Plain and simple.
Would I prefer that davidserwitz do more than just post here when they've put up another round of videos over on Flo? Yes I would, but the content on the site is so good, I'm not going to call him out over it.
Mark, you and I have discussed what has happened with you on occasion. Your articles are quality, and you're a quality contributor here. Hence why I've told people to stand down when they've gotten on you.
billy had a run back in the fall where for the most he would just start threads on whatever topic and then leave a post with nothing but a link to his forum. People called him on it, and asked him to provide more than just a link, but for the most part he kept at it.
Some got a little personal, and he got personal back. I did my best to help him out a little bit, and to avoid some ill will, but he eventually disappeared for the most part for a while.
After reading the attacks on Dartshark (who I'm aware is more than capable of standing up for himself) that he lets stay up on his board, I've washed my hands of him. I'm not going to ban him, but he's made his bed over here, he can damn well lie in it.
